Now Viewing: redeadTag type: Character One of the most infamous enemies in the Zelda franchise and frequently considered by fans to be one of the scariest monsters in the franchise. It has appeared in Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. It has a different appearance in each game (OOT and MM's version are basically the same) but there are common elements; they are undead creatures who freeze Link in place with a scream and proceed to attack him while he's defenseless. The OOT and MM version resemble brown zombies and have a high pitched scream. When they are dormant, they emit zombie-esque moans. Once they freeze Link in place, they walk slowly towards and then suddenly leap onto his back and apparently suck or squeeze the life energy out of him. The Wind Waker version does the same thing, except this time they are blue skinned with large earrings and red eyes and have more facial expressions. Their scream this time, resembles an elephant's. The Twilight Princess version resembles a mummy with a large sword, which they use to attack Link instead of grappling him like previous incarnations. The OOT version also appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but they don't scream this time. Nevertheless they still do the characters harm by grabbing them; the Redeads can also be thrown at other enemies and characters.
